At Self Help Graphics, Día de los Muertos is not just a day, it’s a season marked by our annual Celebration taking place this Saturday, November 2 from 3:00 PM-8:00 PM, at the East LA Civic Center Park in East LA (4801 E 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90022). This family-friendly event is FREE to the public and open to ALL AGES. We encourage you to dress in your favorite Día de los Muertos fashion and enjoy a fun-filled day with altars, live performances + shop at our artisan “Muertos Market”, enjoy delicious food prepared by our vendors, and much more! PROCESSION MEET-UP AT MARIACHI PLAZA 2:00 PM TO RIDE THE METRO TO CIVIC CENTER (FREE Metro TAP cards for the first 150 participants while supplies last!)

Organized by Mujeres de Maiz, this year's procession will be led on the Metro L Line, from Mariachi Plaza East LA Civic Center, where we'll move collectively to arrive at our Celebration destination! Special guests include: Mariachi Garfield High School, Jessa Calderon, Matt Sedillo, Zoe Blaq and more!

LIVE PERFORMANCES

Bring a blanket to relax, the good vibes, and your dancing shoes as we bring you the sights and sounds of East Los around the park lake! Join us for a Danza blessing and live performances by Jessa Calderon Featuring Maya Jupiter, Sugar Skulls (Tribute to Eddie Ayala), Danza Divina de Los Angeles, La Familia Gutierrez (Veracruz, Mexico) and Los Cumbia Dragons!!

The 51st Annual Día de los Muertos Celebration features 40+ local artists and artisans selling handmade goods and art as part of our Muertos Market, many of which are only available during this season! Stock up on special gifts in anticipation of the upcoming holiday season or treat yourself to that special t-shirt or artwork made with amor. Self Help Graphics will also have select prints for sale, including this year's Commemorative Print by Amalia Mesa-Bains.

COME HUNGRY, EAT LOCAL

Self Help Graphics will proudly offer a variety of food made from the hands and hearts of our local community of street food vendors, in collaboration with In the Making and the East LA Eastmont Farmer's Market. Our 51st Annual Día de los Muertos is made possible with generous support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Office of LA County Board Supervisor Hilda L. Solis (District 1). KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Arrive + Park: Take the Metro L-Line to the Civic Center Station, use a rideshare app, carpool with friends, or park on-site at the Civic Center parking structure (space is limited)!

  • Sorry, No Pets: Only service animals will be allowed on a leash. While we love fur babies, we ask that you leave your pets at home.

  • No alcohol or smoking allowed: Self Help Graphics is a dry event and is a non-smoking and vaping environment.
