The Los Angeles City Historical Society (LACHS) works to preserve and share local history, helping to build a strong community identity and pride. By protecting historic landmarks and sharing stories of the city’s past, the society ensures that important structures and memories are not lost. Joining the LACHS offers an opportunity to connect with the city’s history, contribute to preserving its legacy, and gain insights that shape our understanding of the present and inspire a better future. Learning about different cultures and histories also promotes empathy, tolerance, and a broader worldview.
Membership dues are collected once annually. The membership year starts on the date the initial dues are received.
